    *downstate =  辞書にあるがcommonではない(あまり使わない)

     - Business is booming at that new restaurant. The waiting list is 3 weeks long.

    - A new marketing plan has gotten the board seal of approval.
    - Consumers have given the new tablet computer their seal of approval with strong sales right from the start.

put down roots 根をはる、定着する
    - He's put down some serious roots taking out a big loan to buy a house.

in the long run 長い目で見れば、長期的には
    - LEDs are more expensive than conventional bulbs but save money in the long run.
